Gold Reef City

Gold Reef City – Half Day Tour.  – R650.00 per person.

Located on an old gold mine, the park is themed around the gold rush on the Witwatersrand. The Park staff wears costumes of the 1880s, and the buildings on the park are designed to mimic the same period. There is a museum dedicated to gold mining on the grounds where it is possible to see a gold-containing ore vein and see how real gold is poured into barrels.
Water rides and roller coasters are among the many atractions in the Park. Gold Reef City is also the site of the Apartheid Museum”.

Elephant Sanctuary

Situated in the Magaliesberg Mountains, at about one hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria, The Elephant Sanctuary at Hartbeespoort Dam lies in a malaria-free area surrounded by natural indigenous bush and is home to impala, klipspringer, baboons, porcupine, caracal, leopard, a host of other small mammals, 350 bird species and, of course, four magnificent African Elephants.
